A couple of early starts in February 2024 had me heading North up the M1 on a recce to two oft photographed locations (but not by me!). I was hoping for fog, drove through a lot of it – but sadly saw none once I was there! On both occasions and at both locations I was the only one photographer there – although one brave chap and his dog appeared at The Three Shires Head for a swim – bearing in mind there was snow still on the ground, I thought this action foolhardy or brave in the extreme – admittedly he is only briefly submerged before heading back!
There are obviously loads and loads of stunning locations in the Peak District, but it isn’t an area I have really covered much before, largely because everyone else has, and that has rather put me off in the past. With more research I aim to find a few more, hopefully less photographed areas to focus my attention on. So it is very much work in progress over the next 12 months or so.
